The half-day danceAble forum on June 28 is designed for artists,
arts presenters, educators, and those who live with
disabilities or work with the disabled community.
The forum is a unique opportunity to share challenges
and successes with South Florida, national and
international leaders in the field of mixed ability arts.
danceAble is a collaborative project of Florida Dance
Association and Tigertail Productions that began in
2000. It focuses on dance as a vital art form and a
fundamental means of physical expression for persons
with and without disabilities.
Support for danceAble is provided in part by the City of
Miami/FACE, Office of Film, Arts, Culture and Entertainment; City of Miami Beach
Cultural Affairs Program, Cultural Arts Council; Florida Department of State,
Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Arts Council; Miami Dade College,
Cultural Affairs; Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Mayor and
Board of County Commissioners; National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency;
Southern Arts Federation and VSA arts of Florida.
