TIGERTAIL PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
James Blood Ulmer
Jazz and blues legend James Blood
Ulmer, with an electrifying trio —
himself, Mark Peterson and
Aubrey Dayle — performs a
rare Miami concert.
This Miami concert comes on the heels of his first-ever
appearance at the 2007 Bonnaroo Music Festival. Earlier in his career Ulmer
played with pioneering jazz-great Ornette Coleman. Today this iconoclastic
genius mixes it up with the raw power of the blues, R & B and funk to create an
indelible and unique sound. His previous CD was awarded Down Beat magazine's "Blues Album
of the Year," and his most recent work, a moving take on the Katrina catastrophe,
has made James Blood Ulmer's voice and searing guitar more relevant than ever.

"…the missing link between Jimi Hendrix and Wes Montgomery on one hand, between
P-Funk and Mississippi Fred McDowell on the other." Village Voice
"With Ulmer's murky drawl and plangent electric guitar… he achieves a humid immediacy" Vibe Magazine
"Ulmer is a leading interpreter of the blues…transcendent and edgy." Washington Post
"Ulmer still sings as if 20 miles of bad road lie ahead."
