TIGERTAIL PRODUCTIONS / MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS
2003 ARTIST ACCESS GRANTS PROGRAM

This program is made possible with the assistance of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, Cultural Affairs Council, Mayor and the Board of County Commissioners.

WHAT is ARTIST ACCESS?

The ARTIST ACCESS Grants Program provides mini-grants to Miami-Dade County based, working individual artists to take advantage of specific, professional development, skill-building opportunities to advance their work and careers. When requesting funds, an applicant should demonstrate clearly how the available opportunity will improve his/her artistic skills and abilities. Experiences such as advanced workshops, conferences, master classes, and residencies, or activities that enable the artist to acquire techniques that improve his/her ability to present a body of work, are examples of the types of requests that have successfully competed in this grants program in the past. Grant awards range from $100 to $750, depending on need and program specifics. We strongly encourage prospective applicants to call and speak with the program administrator, Mary Luft, (305) 324-4337 (or email@tigertail.org), prior to submitting an application. The Artist Access application form and guidelines are available on-line at www.tropiculturemiami.com

Applications are encouraged from all professional artists working in any medium. Applications will be evaluated based on evidence of serious professional commitment and on the experience's contribution to the artist's professional growth.
